Okay so I have a brother who was idiotic and tried to pull out a piece of hair from the PCIe16x slot with scissors while still powered. The motherboard sparked and it no longer turned on.

Through some troubleshooting, we ordered a new CPU, DRAM kit, PSU, and motherboard.

I am now having a stupid amount of trouble getting all these new parts to work. The motherboard keeps getting stuck on DRAM with a red debug light and it's pissing me off (to put it bluntly)

Obviously the motherboard needs to be updated to support the 9000 series and I have the usb setup correctly as FAT32 with just the flash file on it plugged into the BIOS slot, yet all it does is turn on for 1 second and do nothing.

WHAT IS GOING ON????

Is this happening when you're powering it on or using the Q-Flash button on the motherboard?

The button and flash LED look to be right next to each other on the board. That LED is supposed to be blinking when the BIOS is flashing.
Both. Powering on is stuck on red DRAM and after QFLASH is finished it is stuck on DRAM as red.

This is a new motherboard, but at this point it might just be a faulty one.

Okay so solution was trying to properly get QFLASH to work. I had to get USB converted to MBR, name the file GIGABYTE.bin, and only press the QFLASH button and not hold it. Not only that, I had to get the BIOS before the latest, then flash the latest once in the BIOS.

What an absolute nightmare...
