getting low fps with decent build

hello i am having issues with getting low fps in fornite, dayz, ect...seems like to me with this build i should be able to have everything on ultra. i know someone with a lower end build then me that runs ultra an gets better frames im just kinda confused ive tried multiple things through the control panel an nothing any other reason i would be getting low fps?
build:
gtx 1060 xtreme 6gb
i7 4790
32 gb of ram

Please post your full system spec. Including make/model of the PSU.

What kind of results are you seeing? What are you quantifying as "low" in each title?

How old is your OS install? Are your drivers up-to-date? Did you fully remove your GPU driver prior to installing the latest?

Are you monitoring CPU/GPU temps?
