I have been trying to get an open NAT type for my PC for a while now, I have tried port forwarding with no success and I have tried giving my pc a static ip and changing dnz settings in my router and I still have a closed NAT type, I also have the same issue on my xbox with having a closed NAT type. I am trying to connect to friends in Minecraft Windows 10 edition but I can't because they have a moderate NAT type and not an open one, If anyone has any fixes or advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Did you check to see if you had a public ip. The wan ip must be public, the indicator that it is public is it will be the same as what you see on sites like whatsmyip. If the ip address is not public there is another nat router in the path and you will never get your nat issue solved.

That is your problem. The ISP has a router in the path that is performing NAT. You would need to put port forwarding rules on that router which of course you can not do.

This all depends on you ISP and what they are willing to offer. Some people with similar issues have posted here they just called the ISP up and they gave them a public IP for no extra charge. So not all ISP are ass. All you can do is ask, most times the charge is not much but some do not offer the service for any price. There is a massive shortage of IPv4 ip addresses. Most people do not actually need their own so it is a solution to that problem.
