Hey everyone

I want to get the most out of my (rather old) system. At the moment, i'm saving up to build a new PC. In the meantime, I want to get the most out of my little set up, and I would like your opinion on this subject.

These are my specs:

GPU: AMD athlon II x2 250 (OC at 3,5Ghz -> Heavy load: 45-50°C / Idle: 35-38°C)
RAM: 8GB Dual channel
MoBo: ASRock N68C-S UCC
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GT640
PSU: 450W
Cooling: 1x 80mm intake fan; 1x 120mm outtake fan (above CPU), 1x CPU cooler

I'm wondering how far I can (safely) push my CPU to get that extra performance boost during the last months on this system.

Thnx!

That is exactly what I plan to do.
(messed up the previous comment)

I will buy a new case, CPU, MoBo and maybe a PSU first.
I'm looking into some pieces and i'm looking for a buget PC that can still put down a solid performance.
A total budget for the build will be +/- €950 -1000

That's the maximum number that i'm willing to spend on my new machine. Glad to hear that I'm not going to run short. Thanks for the advice!
