Hi guys
I just wanted to ask if my current PSU which is powering my current computer (specs below), would be able to run a HD5850?
Current specs:
Motherboard: MSI P43 Neo-F
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00GHz (2 CPUs), ~3.0GHz
Memory: 6144MB RAM
Hard Drive (1 IDE & 1 SATA): 330 GB Total
Video Card: HIS ATi Radeon HD 4850
Sound Card: Creative X-Fi Xtreme Gamer
PSU: Hiper 580w (Version 2 - not the ones that blow up?)
Hiper 580w has been solid, and has not failed me one in this rig, contrary to the blowing up problems.
It has:
Rated Wattage: 580W
Peak load: 630W
ATX form factor: 2.2
+12v 1: 1A - 20A
+12v 2: 1A - 18V
Average Efficiency: 76%
On http://www.antec.outervision.com/PSUEngine :
My recommended minimum PSU wattage is 274W (with GFX as HD4850)
My recommended minimum PSU wattage is 264W (with GFX as HD5850 - seems more efficient?)
Would this be enough?
