System: Dell Dimension 8100, 1.7GHz P4, GeForce2 MX, Samsung SyncMaster 770TFT flat panel.
The monitor shows ghosting when attached to the above system. It's visible with all text, and particularly noticeable in black text on a gray background (as in Windows dialog boxes and menus, etc). This is when set to the monitor's "natural" resolution of 1280x1024.
Samsung tech support said ghosting occurs strictly when there is a weak signal and is usually only seen if there's a cable extender or A/B switch box (I have neither).
I plugged the monitor into my older system which has a TNT card, and bingo! Much crisper, better image.
My first conclusion is that this GeForce2 MX card has a weak video signal, but can that really be the problem?
Thanks for any insight.
