Question Gigabyte 1050 low profile temp problems

I have a Gigabyte GTX 1050 OC low profile card. I was playing some games today and when I touched the gpu it was so hot it burned me. I quit the game and checked temps in task manager, the gaming engine that came with it, and HWinfo. All temps showed 29 C when it was clearly much hotter. The fan always stays the same and I don't think it thermal throttles either so I'm worried about frying my gpu. Any advice on fixing it? (i7 4790, 8G ddr3, gtx 1050.)

Between you quitting the game and checking its temperatures, the card likely had enough time to cool down. The GTX 1050's maximum power consumption is only 75 watts.
I wouldn't worry about it.
Seventy five watt incandescent light bulbs also become too hot to touch.

I watched the temps after while I was playing and they stayed at 29 while the gpu was very hot to the touch. So there is definitely a problem with the temp sensor. I am currently reinstalling the graphics driver.

That's normal then; for the hot spot to be a little higher than the core.
This doesn't sound like an abnormal situation that requires fixing, but I'm used to seeing temperature sensor failures reporting unrealistically high numbers, like 999C or something.

It's still boosting properly? The clock frequencies, I mean.
But not changing even when under heavy load? As for the frequencies I Don't know how to check.

I Don't know how to check.
MSI Afterburner's OSD options are convenient for this purpose.
