Gigabyte 6850 vs Powercolor 6870

The $20 off on the powercolor keeps coming back so I was wondering if I should get the 6870 instead but I heard that the 6870 is significantly louder and powercolor uses the stock cooler while Gigabyte uses it's quiet, efficient windforce design. I'm trying to build a quiet budget gaming PC. Which is the better choice? Might crossfire later.

Those youtube video showcasing how loud their gpu is, is IMO, silly. How often do you open your case and stick your ear right next to it and listen to the noise. Never!

Your speaker will cover the noise up and you will be so focus on the game and forget about the noise.

My game sounds are usually low as I am korean and don't like blasting my ears off. Also have to listen for my parents to come home. I might crossfire which might effective add 10 dB.

if u want quiet, just dont use that extra horsepower. at least its there!

You can also move the case further away from where you sit.

just turn the fan down a little, also im using a 470 which is notoriosly loud, but the fans never spin up to anywhere near max while gaming, a 6870 will be fine
