I currently have a Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H mobo and i have just brought x2 ATI Radeon 5850HD cards to put into crossfire.

Everything is installed but the ATI CCC is showing that they are running at x8.

Now the gigabyte website says that both slots are x16.
"2 PCI-E 2.0 x16 interface with ATI (Hybrid) CrossFireX technology support"

Do i need to do something in the BIOS as i can not find much info on the internet about the bios of this board.

(Note 4) For optimum performance, if only one PCI Express graphics card is to be installed, be sure to install it in the PCIEX16 slot. The PCIEX8 slot shares bandwidth with the PCIEX16 slot. When PCIEX8 is populated with a PCI Express graphics card, the PCIEX16 slot will operate at up to x8 mode.

When the first slot is populated it runs at x16, when both are populated the x16 slot runs at x8...either way you wont see ANY noticeable differences between the two anyway so you're alright.
