I am looking to buy a new laptop for gaming and video editing (premiere pro and after effects). I can't decide on which laptop as they are both the same price, but 17H has less RAM (can upgrade this though) and worse processer, but a better graphics card than the 16X. Need some opinions/advice please.

GIGABYTE AORUS 17H - £1,900.00
Intel® Core™ i7-13700H Processor
RAM: 16 GB / Storage: 1 TB SSD
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 12 GB
Full HD screen / 360 Hz

GIGABYTE AORUS 16X - £1,899.00
Unlocked Intel® Core™ i9-14900HX Processor
RAM: 32 GB DDR5 / Storage: 1 TB SSD
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 8 GB
Quad HD+ screen / 165 Hz

I'd go with the 17H (well actually I'd go with an actual computer but it depends on your needs).
I think the better graphics card beats out the processor and you could always upgrade your RAM if it actually affects you. 360hz its quite nice too.

Thanks for your response. I have a pretty good desktop but I need something better to replace my current laptop for when I'm not at home.

I also think the 17H with a RAM swap is the better choice, but it's a close call.

The 16H has a considerably more powerfull CPU and enough RAM out of the box. The GPU and screen are weaker than the 17H, but 16Gb RAM is not enough at that pricepoint. The 13700H isn't bad at all. i9 is better is all.

Not an easy decision. :)

Thanks for your response. Having done some more research, premiere pro is more CPU intensive and so I think I'll go for the 16H - the extra RAM will come in handy too.
