hi guyzz....

i have a system with GA-VM900m (rev.2) motherboard with a Pentium 4 505J 2.66Ghz.....
well....one day i was trying to update the Video Bios by extracting it from the Main Bios of the mobo and replacing it with another one ( I actually have no idea why i did that!!!...) :D

anywayzzz....

I successfully did it and flash the bios to the rom......
but now...everytime I turn on the mobo.....the fans, lights, hdd's turn on....but i can't see anything from the screen (on-board video) ....
i tried to clear the cmos but that didn't help :pfff: ....
i tried taking off the ram to see if the motherboard beeps when there's no ram...and it beeps naturally like any other mobo with no ram....
i tried making bootable cd's, dvd's, floppy, usb, even tried a whole hdd with the original bios in it to see if the mobo would try to retrieve the bios from it....but still nothing happens....it would just turn on but nothing on-screen...!!! :(

is there anyway to recover the mobo by now???....pls!!! help!!!....

Do not bump posts.

I am not clear on what you did to the board. Were you trying to update the motherboard BIOS or a discrete GPU? If it was the onboard you would have just flashed the motherboard BIOS, if it was a GPU you would be flashing the GPU.

I don't have a clue why you would try to do anything like "update the Video Bios by extracting it from the Main Bios of the mobo and replacing it with another one ". That doesn't make any sense and you probably broke something. The BIOS is not on the harddrive its on the motherboard... Get a discrete GPU and plug it in and it may or may not work. If it does flash the correct BIOS back to the motherboard.
