I recently just bought a AMD Athlon X4 860K for my GA F2A88XN-WIFI Gigabyte Motherboard, and found out that I Need to update the Bios, but quickly ran into a snag as the q flash keeps saying its outdated whenever I try to update to a more recent bios. I then went to the Support page and found a way to update VIA Bootable Flash Drive, which still seems like the only option I have right now but the problem is that the software that Gigabyte recommended was the HP usb disc storage format tool for this operation as well as win98boothttps://www.gigabytenordic.com/flash-update-bios-gigabyte-fm2-motherboards-support-new-kaveri-apu/ But it just doesn't want to work it keeps failing to format the flashdrive so I'm unable to even attempt updating it. any and all suggestions would be appreciated
specs here just in case
Motherboard GA F2A88XN-WIFI
CPU A6 5400K dual core APU
GTX750TI EVGAFTW 2gb
2X 8GB Gskill RipJaws DDR3 Ram
(everything that should be important anyways)

I should also mention I got the Motherboard from a friend who never used it and got it brand new from a bargain bin a while back.

one more annoying question when I installed my CPU I got a Blue Screen of death and frozen startup screen but when I took out one of my 8gb ram sticks my pc works just fine is there a way to be able to use 16 gb or is my cpu not that supportive or does it have to do with power supply? its a 500 watt

I'm using windows 10 64 bit but the blue screen doesn't say anything it just freezes I noticed my pc fans start up and than stop than start up again when I first turned it on with New CPU but hasn't happened again, I took out the ram stick and it works just fine now should I try putting it back in and seeing what happens?
windows has been installed already for a few days now

My Mobo has only 2 DDR3 slots since its a miniature motherboard (stuck in a antec 900 case may I mind you) so I can only put the ram sticks there

its been awhile since I responded to this, but the issue for the ram problem had to do with the NB I overclocked it a few MHz and the ram worked just fine IDK though soo use that information with a grain of salt
