Question Gigabyte Control Centre bricked my monitor - please help

So I just purchased and hooked up the GS27FC

After looking up the model and installing the GCC software to adjust the monitors colour settings - the software is unable to recognize with monitor (I don't even think it's operating properly)

- When I initially hooked up the monitor to my laptop it worked perfectly fine.

• After installing GCC, my computer now does not recognize this monitor properly. It will get stuck at 1024 x 768.
• I uninstalled the software and it continued to persist.
• I tried a bunch of different solutions to try and fix what ever changes this program did and just would not go back to what it was.
• I eventually connected my laptop to a different monitor and it worked fine.
• once i plugged the GS27FC to the laptop again - it now was back to normal at 1920 x 1080.
• the but here is that it's now stuck at 60Hz. and If i restart my computer it reverts back to the stuck in 1024 x 768 mode.

My question is - has anyone dealt with something like this while using the GCC and if anyone has an idea what I can possibly do to try and fix this once and for all.

I would really love to not have to return this thing back to the store mind you cause it is at my office that involves a 1 hour subway ride ;_;

reset the monitor with its menu
gpu drivers up to date?
which cable are you using? try a different one

try rolling back to older versions
