Is Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P motherboard compatible and fully functional with Msi/Palit GTX 1060 3G or Msi GTX 970 4G graphic cards?

Do i connect these graphic cards to the PCI Express 2.0 socket?

The board is compatible with either card. You want to use the 1st PCIe x16 slot, closest to the CPU. The other PCIe x16 slot is only 4 lanes electrically and will lower performance.
