Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4, Will it run Nvidia GTX 590\580 ?

Hello, I've been looking all around the internet but i didn't find a good answer.

I have Gigabyte Motherboard, this version "GA-P35-DS4"

PS: Im not sure which ver i have.


And i'm thinking of upgrading my Ge-force 7950 GT Graphics card to GTX 590 or 580. Link is below:

Some people told me i might have a problem with PCIe v.2.0 because my motherboard doesn't support it.

That is my question, will it work perfectly or will it work at all?



My PC Details:

CPU: Core 2 Quad Q6600
RAM: 8 G.B DDR2

PCI-E 2.0 is backward compatible with PCI-E 1.0, so yes it will work fine

Thanks a lot man, Will i loose any of it's power? or it will work as if it was on PCI-E 2.0?
I read that some cards doesn't need the high Bandwidth in PCI-E 2.0.

The performance difference isn't noticeable(unless you play at resolutions like 2560x1600 or higher in which there is like 4-5% difference)

I meant PCI-E 2.0 vs PCI-E 1.0 not the speed of the PCI-E lanes(which in case you're right about it)

As it's shown,PCI-E 2.0 and PCI-E 1.0(both at x16 speed) run neck and neck in almost all games.The difference between them isn't noticeable at low resolutions and even on very high resolutions(2560x1600), it never exceeds 6%

And BTW, i'm not so good in English so im gonna assume that a case of herpes is highly avoidable, thus, i have to buy 580 not 590 for a reason.
