which is better? and why? also just for gaming and no overclocking (i really don't know how). in terms of value/price, performance, stability and durability.

so gigabyte will serve me better and longer? i had asus mobo before and did not encounter any problems but i want to explore other options.

What cpu would you be using? If you don't plan on overclocking or sli in the future, you may consider a h97 mobo.

All 3 are decent z97 mobos, and all 3 are made by decent brands. If I have to choose, I would lean for the Asus since I really like their uefi setup. Just choose whichever one fits your budget or colour scheme.

no oc and i may sli the 980. colour scheme is not important to me and as for budget for the motherboard, no more than $200.

The Z97-A is in tier 2A. So the Gigabyte would be better.
