Gigabyte GTX 750 Ti running hot

i have a 750 ti an it is a 90 degrees on dual monitors an i play wow but it should be around 70 degrees right

Yes, 90 degrees Celsius is too hot for a 750 ti. Is it a reference model? How fast is the fan spinning when you hit 90 degrees?

well under settings it has it at 80 degrees run at 80%

Okay, that sounds like a reasonable fan profile. I should point out that the fan profile you see in Afterburner is only in effect when Afterburner itself is on. When it's not on, your graphics card resorts to it's built in default settings. So, if you load your card now (with WOW), with Afterburner on (the program can be minimized, just not closed), what temperature does your card reach? Are you still hitting 90 degrees?

i got off wow an the temp is down to 77 Now.

i run dual monitors on the card could i use my old Geforce GT 610 for reg pc operations an 750 ti for gaming. or is 750 ti even good for gaming. an NO the cards are not in SLI.

That still sounds too hot to be honest. How hot is it where you're locaated? How is the airflow in your computer?

Yes, the 750 ti is pretty reasonable for gaming, and yes, I believe it's possible to add the second card to run one of the monitors, and remove the additional load from your 750 ti.

Hmm, very odd. When they reviewed the Gigabyte GTX 750 ti OC on Tom's hardware* (and other sites) they were reporting temperatures nearer 45 degrees Celsius under load. Just to double check, we're working in the same units (Celsius) here, correct? The initial 90 degrees in your question was in Celsius, and not Fahrenheit? I'm pretty sure we're both working in the same units, but I have to ask as I'd kick myself if it turned out I was getting you worried about temperatures for no reason! 😀

Ahhhh, okay! Now it makes sense! The good news is that your card is working normally! 90 F is actually very cool for a graphics card, and absolutely nothing to worry about. When people talk about 70 degrees being a good temperature they mean Celsius (so about 158 Fahrenheit), so you can see just how cool your card is running!

Its running warm. Make sure your case has proper cable management and is not dusty. Should make sure case fans are configured properly. I saw on a different thread your looking for a PSU. One with a 140mm fan or 2 fans would also help with keeping the case cooler.
