Hello, I'm having performance issues with my somewhat(?) okay setup and seeking aid from you experienced users.I have average pc knowledge and it doesn’t help me beyond this point. I’m aware of the memory issues of gtx 970 models but since I run on a lower resolution I have hardly ever seen my games going above even 2.5gb of vram. All my drivers are up to date including bios and chipset etc. My issues persist mostly in games like The Secret World, Dragon Age Inquisition, Heroes of Storm,Star Wars old Republic all settings maxed out.

My specs are :
CPU : Intel i7-2600 3.40GHZ
GPU : Gigabyte GTX 970 G1
Monitor : Samsung SA350 Native Resolution : 1920x1080
Board : MSI Z68A-GD55
Memory : Corsair Vengeance 8GB 2x4GB 1333mhz default overclocked to 1600mhz by extreme profile in bios.
HD : 120 GB Corsair SSD, 2x 2TB, 1x 500gb
PSU : Seasonic X-850 80+ Plus Gold 850W (SEA-X-850)

My nvidia control panel settings :

Dragon Age : Inquistion : All settings maxed out normally around 50-60 fps but sometimes drops to 30-40.

The Secret World : Using DX11, my settings all are almost maxed except Vegetation Detail drop to 3 from 4 and AA quality is TXAA 2x instead of 4x because it made the game unplayable for me like dropping to 20-40 fps in an action-free zone. Now I run on 50-70 fps but in combat and stuff it drops to 30 and it’s annoying because all the benchmarks I checked hinted that I should be able to run this game maxed with all settings on 1920x1080 resolution.

SWTOR : all settings maxed I’m still experiencing fps drops to 30-40 sometimes in highly populated zones or some random zones.

Heroes of Storm : I know this is a fairly new game and still on beta but I used to be able to run this game on max settings with my MSI GTX 560TI. While moving the camera or in the combat it can drop to 40.

Nope I haven't played it. FPS genre isn't really my thing. Though I love Mass Effect series .

Well, I think the reason you are having problems is because you have enabled DSR x4, which means the card and especially your CPU are struggling with running the games at x4 your monitors resolution, which is essentially 4k. It is recommended to run SLI at this resolution, but since it isn't true 4K I wouldn't bother. just turn off DSR Factors and you should be fine :)
