I have bought myself a gigabyte m27q monitor and it’s still on the way I just wanted to know if anyone knows if I can switch the inputs so I can have display port in and 1 hdmi in rather than 1 display port in and 1 usb c in

Yes Ik if it’s hdmi or display port the kvm won’t function properly but I have a solution for that already

A kvm will use whatever ports you connect it to.

so if i put 1 display port from my pc to the monitor and 1 hdmi from my work pc to the monitor it should switch between them at the bress of a button without any messing around in the settings?

All depends on how you have it all connected.

But if both cables are connected directly to the single monitor, then you'd change the input in the monitor settings.

A schematic of how you have it all connected might help here.

With that, you select the desired input in the monitor settings.

For the display, yes.

You still have to work out the keyboard and mouse, if you want to use one set.

Just connect the cables to the monitor as above, and off you go.
