Gigabyte motherboard recognize only 7 peripherals

Hello there firdt of all happy new year! Q: how come you can only select from max 7 peripherals to boot your system, when i connect number eighth hard drive the boot up hard is thrown out of the boot-up list..
mobo is GA-MA790X-UD3P

They probably didn't expect anyone to use that much HDDs, even most full towers don't have that much space. Only thing I can think of is to update your BIOS
