gigabyte x299 gaming 7 ... m.2 configuration help

i will be running one 960 evo and using one gpu with a 7820x cpu. The tool that i found suggest using the m.2 slot right under the cpu socket. others have stated using the m.2 slot right under pcie slot 1 but im not sure? any help thanks
