Recently got hold of a brand new Gigabyte Auros Z490i
I also installed a brand new i7-11700 (not the F model)
2 x 32gb ddr4
WD Blue NVME

Since this board was initially released for 10th gen chips, I did first check CPU compatibility, and it states on the website it is compatible
I had to do a BIOS update via Q-Flash before anything really worked on the machine
I also did a cmos clear using the jumpers

Problem is, there is no video output from the HDMI
I have read several forums, and tried going back to older bios versions, but it makes no difference

Today I installed a Gigabyte GT730 graphics card and connected via HDMI - display works fine and can get to BIOS setup

Not sure what else to try to get the onboard graphics to work
I do not want to leave the GT730 in, as the mini itx case I have does not actual provision for a PCI card slot - plus its a waste of a graphics card as the onboard ports will suffice

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Inspect the CPU's socket and see if there are any bent or broken pins on the CPU's socket. Since you were able to get display off a discrete GPU, you might want to go into BIOS and see what BIOS version you're on, just to verify.

FYI, you would need at least F20d;
to be able to drop in an i7-11700 processor. While the latest is F22;

While in BIOS, you might want to see if your iGPU is enabled.

Pins on the board are all fine
Bios version is F22
I have tried all versions from F20 onwards and the HDMI does not work

On board graphics has been enabled

I have managed to load Windows 11 (using the HDMI port from the GT730). Installed all windows updates + necessary drivers.
When I move the HDMI plug into the onboard port - still no display. Its as if that port is just dead.

I went back into BIOS to make sure im on F22 and that onboard graphics is enabled. Saved and shutdown machine. Removed the GT730 card.
Connected to onboard HDMI.
Still no display

Update: Problem has been solved

Latest BIOS version, F22
Went to BIOS setup
Enabled onboard graphics
Within the BOOT menu, I set CSM as enabled and set it to UEFI
Saved and shutdown
Removed the GT730 card and plugged cable to the onboard HDMI port

All working perfectly :)
