[SOLVED] gigabyte z590

Hello guys,

I have a quick and simple question. I have the mainboard gigabyte z590 d rev 1.0 (https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/Z590-D-rev-10/sp#sp) and i installed an m2 samsung 970 Evo Plus SSD 250GB NVMe (https://www.samsung.com/us/computin...sd-970-evo-plus-nvme-m-2-250gb-mz-v7s250b-am/).
So at the beginning i placed it in m2 slot who is close to cpu (M2P_CPU ) and it dint work.I couldn't see the m2 in the bios.
In the second m2 slot (M2A_SB) worked fine.
What i've done wrong?

hyper x 16gb 2133
gigabyte 3060 aorus elite

You beat me to the answer while I was looking for those to demonstrate why. That slot on my PC will probably never be used, can't see myself buying an 11700k just for that.
