Gigabyte Z97 Gaming 7 - Led lights - m_bios

Hi all,
Got a question re: a new PC ive just setup. An orange LED stays on while the PC stays on, and want to confirm if its correct.

Only worried as my first Asrock had issues, so moved to this one. Sorry about the quality of the pic, but it appears to be the m_bios light that stays orange, just dont remember seeing it when i came home, but it could have been there

The LED that has the codes says A0, so that one appears normal, so just worried about the m_bios, manual says its active when main bios is active, so assuming its normal just after clarification.

Whats m_bios?

What does the orange LED mean?

with out knowing exactly how you board is set up but most now have a led [most times anything outside of red ] to show its on standby power -- eaven if you are shut down it may stay on until the board discharges ... this sounds normal this asrock has a amber led for that so that's what I'm thinking

The light is only one when the PC is running, Its in the manual, but just want to confirm as I dont know much about computers, and this is my first real build in along time

Thanks all, Looks like another person posted same kinda question.

The m_bios light stays active at all times when the PC is on

like that guy in that thread I linked to you he said itsa normal and stays on as I said but he thinks it to show what bios chip your running on between the 2 in your board -- so I guess call it good

OK - so the LED just shows whether Main or Backup bios is being used.
