glacial trail location

I've never had this pop out anywhere except on the side of a mountain, far
as I can remember. This new?

From the Arreat Plateau the entrance to the Crystalline Passage is always in
a mountain wall, but the exit from the Glacial Trail to the outside area is
usually, if not always, in the middle of the plain.
