I curruntly have a ps4 but I want a gaming pc but I was looking at laptops(Toshiba £299) and I was wandering if I can play pc games on it. So which would be better my budget is between £300 to £500.
Unless you require the portability of a laptop, you're better off with a desktop in term of bang for buck and upgradability. Does your budget need to include monitor, keyboard, and mouse?
Just so you know, both desktops and laptops are technically PCs.
Anyway, to your question, your money would go a LOT farther on a desktop with that low a budget. It's not really enough for an adequate gaming laptop, unless you get a great deal on a used one. I wouldn't recommend buying a used gaming laptop though.
Definitely a desktop. You can put together much more useful parts for a desktop with that budget. Gaming laptops tend to cost more just because they're laptops, so I would go with a budget desktop build.
