Good CPU Heatsink & Fan <100mm?

I have the stock cooler for my E8400 right now but am interested in getting something better. I have room in my case for about 100mm or less of clearance between my CPU and the side of my case. Maybe even less with my side case fan. Can anybody suggest a good aftermarket cooler that is proably in the 90mm range?

If I do keep the stock cooler, are they as lousy as everyone seems to say they are? Sound and performance-wise?

The stock cooler works OK in terms of cooling performance and is surprisingly quiet, just make sure you get the "push pins" in properly. In terms of overclocking potential, don't expect to go above 3.6 GHz without hitting dangerous temps, less if your using the older C0 stepping.
