hello I was wondering if someone could help with a question I've found a pc on gumtree which is like an Australian version of Craigs list and I was wondering if it would be smart money wise to purchase and then upgrade the GPU as it's only $500 AUD for the computer and i could put an additional 300-400 AUD into a new GPU or something else thanks!

(the specs of the computer)

• Intel Core i7 Processor 3770 (3.40ghz)

• 16GB Ram

• 128GB SSD (Primary drive used to boot up windows)

• 500GB HDD (Secondary drive)

• AMD Radeon HD 7350 Graphics card

Having helped more then a few folks in Australia before I know computer prices are very high there. So with that in mind I would say yes it is not a bad deal. Paired with a new GPU it could be a solid gaming rig for another 5 years or so, assuming you upgrade the GPU every few years. If you want to be certain you could take your full budget and see what you could get if you build a new one compared to buying used.

The i7 3770 is not a bad CPU and having 4C/8T will keep you in the game longer then i5 4C/4T users that are starting to feel the CPU bottlenecking now due to games becoming more well threaded. Point being when you do you're hypothetical new build see if you can end up with at least 4C/8T, ideally 6C/12T and still meet your...

Knowing the prices my guess is no but you will be far more savy with local PC shops/stores then a non-Aussie would. If you have a tech store you prefer and link it I would be happy to see what we could come up with.

I can't recommend a gpu unless I know the exact psu that is in the pc.

Based on my friends' experiences in Australia, the fact the prices are usually high over there and given your case, I think it's really a sound deal. about your question regarding gpus, give this a look.
