situation. We all enjoy gazing into the future with lust/longing, but we usually stay grounded in what isx real and what is ficticious PR. nVidiots, FanATIcs and <b>eXaGIrators</b> are a different story though

Unfortunately it's so subjective and hard to get a concrete number in the graphics game that it would be hard to prosecute under false advertising laws/statutes.

The BCD123 is twice as fast as the competition (in the original quake [yet 1/4 as fast in UT2K3]). Heck look at the XGI's specs and they'd be able to say that their cards have twice the power, etc. fill rate and such of the map, yet we all know that it's barely (if that) half the card of the top FX and Radeons.

Even things like the benchmarking issues of the summer, or the current one with FM and 3Dmk03 published scores don't have enough legal power to follow through on allegations of impropriety.

I just don't think there is enough legal backing to do anything; even if someone were to say something that we all thought was blatantly false, even if there was a grain of truth in some abstract product-centric measure, then that would be enough to shout this BS as loud as they could.

I expect PR BS from both sides, it just needs to be pointed out when it occurs. Like pretty much everything coming out of XGI at this time, just look at the ad above this thread (if it loads the right one). Ultimate Performance Unprecedented Quality? According to what, by whose standard!?! Maybe if compared to other dual VPU solutions (Rage Fury Maxx, etc), but not when compared to current products IMO.

Not I haven't found a single one since they actually got into people's hands. But I do like to pimp the name I came up with. :evil:

In fact if anything I would think XGI owners are bitching about their products, not promoting them.

The only true eXaGIrators out there would be the company itself IMO.

Yeah, but if those XGI owners are also GF MX owners, they may still feel the need to brag about how incredibly awesome their card is. It's a sickness I think, and they can't help it.

I have no idea, I would hope so, so that they would constantly focus on making it better. Whether they will continue to a) use XGI cards much longer, or b) be XGI employees much longer is likely the two most common things associated with that group.
Seriously would you play many games if you thought you would be better using your time scanning the job classifieds?

Yeah, that works.

Although still the only surround gaming platform, but definitely the best name so far.

I'm sick of Nvidia. All they do is spout bullshit. I wouldn't believe their press releases if they paid me.
