i was reading another thread and someone said 720p is at resolution 1280x768. would that be a good resolution to play on a 19'' digital flat screen lcd monitor? or should i play at 1152x864 and what is that equal to? thanks for any responses/info

If it's a widescreen monitor then you should play at 1440x900, unless you have a weak graphics card that can't deliver enough frames at that resolution.

If it's not widescreen then the best you can get is usually 1280x1024.

"equal to"??? Do you mean, as in TV specs? TVs support 720p (1366x768) or 1080p (1920x1080). There's no special name for 1440x900 or for 1280x1024 AFAIK.

This one?

How's it look (uhh, well picture wise compared to 1440x900, 1680 must be sweet).

Yeah, that's the one :p.......and yes, the high res makes it look really good, although it scales down quite nicely for games like Crysis :D

... sli 9800 gt's at such a low resolution... what an incredible waste of money... get a single 4850 or 4870... save money and have better performance

Hmmm...well, on my friend's comp it scales down to 1440 x 900 (using an 8800 GTS 512) just fine, so I'm not sure why it doesn't do so good on yours.
