Hi all, I created a standard user account for my kid. He likes Chrome. I can't send a short cut to his desktop. Do I need to install again on that profile? Seems odd!

Thanks

Solution
You're correct. Each user will have their own browser profile.

How so?
Did you verify that Chrome is indeed not installed in your son's profile and may just be missing the shortcut on his desktop?

Also, you could install from his profile as the administrator, but that should not be necessary. Check his programs (click the ol' start button and look at the installed apps) first.

Tried that. No icon on desktop.
I did a search for chrome.

3 files come up.

1. Google Chrome C:\Users\mark\desktop
2. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\bin
3. C:\Programs Files(86)\Steam\resource\layout

If i click the file desktop (1) i get a message The item "Chrome exe" that the short cut refers to has been changed or moved so it will no longer work. do u want to delete?

I copied and pasted (not moved) the shortcuts from my users desktop to his, for Chrome and a number of other applications.
They were all then available and accessible on his desktop except for Chrome. So as you mentioned, I installed Chrome from his profile with Administrative permission. I guess its a way Windows7 enables different sets of bookmarks and such on Chrome for different profiles. Do you agree?
Thanks for your help.

Also, even though I installed it again I don't think it was an actual full installation
