[citation][nom]davewolfgang[/nom]Sorry but it's not my job to look up news for you. Google it. It's out there in MORE than one place.See I already knew where you got your ideas, because I read those too. I'm not the one lacking in info. But I'm not going to do your work for you if you can't inform yourself.[/citation]

For someone who makes so much noise about their sources you are certainly hesitant to expose them. Any credibility you may have had is totally lost.

Just admit it, you're a racist islamophobe who only sees threats and fear.

You make a point of stating that the news sources I listen to are not "fair and balanced." Please provide a more trustworthy source. In a discussion it makes little sense to criticize without educating.

OOoooo....big bad names!!!!

For someone who thinks he knows it all - you sure are afraid to actually look up and find out stuff for yourself. (Hint: one of them is from ABC News)

This could be a good thing or one of the worst things that has happened in the middle east in a long time. It all depends on who seizes power after this. If the government is backed by the Muslim Brotherhood we are all fucked and if you think the wars we have fought recently were bad just wait. The Muslim Brotherhood wants every single Jew dead and Egypt is still bitter about what happened after WWII regarding Isreal.

I hope that this ends up with the moderates in power not the radicals.

Please save all the 'political statements' for places where it's appropriate and has an audience - such as the comments section on Yahoo! news stories.

paranoia is a bit rife today, yes there is always the chance that Egypt in the destabilization can fall prey to extremist, but in reality Egypt is no where near a Theocracy like Iran, although a predominantly Muslim state they do not believe in the doctrine of divine guidance and though moderately conservative not any more conservative then lets say the bible belt

the main focus of the protest is not to over throw the existing system and replace it with a radical Islamist agenda, the people were simply tired of high unemployment amongst the standard populace and the inequality in distribution of wealth, there is very little evidence that suggest an Islamic fundamentalist state will change that

the greater fear is a long term destabilization of power can result in fermentation of extremism like in Somalia where a stable government has not be formed for a long while

I have a strange feeling unless Egypt change's the other countries will get involved.

And by getting involved I mean with tactical missile's, armies and armies of people, and an all out war.

Mubarack is causing more violence then the muslim faction which by the way is considered terrorist only by the usa (everyone is a terrorist to them) and israel (now tell me that that gov. is terrorist)...its easy to say i must stay in power cuz the alternative is worst...well 30years of dictatorship is pretty much bad in my view....don't be fooled mubarack is smart and has his hand in everything, creating a civil uprising plays into his hands as he will have a legitimate reason to send the army and censor everyone

[citation][nom]davewolfgang[/nom]The government??!?!?!?How about the proven Terrorist organizations that STARTED the rioting. Nah, just forget about them....(Now I'm not saying the Government is perfect over there, but don't for a second think this isn't backed by the 100,000,000% EXTREEEEEEMELY violent radical of ("that" religeon"))[/citation]

The Egyptian Youth movement April 6th spearheaded the protests. There were peaceful protests until the police started their violence. Then it went haywire...
Now back on topic, guys!
I hope Wael is safe.

Update: He's been spotted in a Google Street View image. A Google Search team is in route to locate him. You can't escape the eyes of Google.

Why don't they use Google Maps to find him? Oh wait...those images are 2-3 years old.

4 stories about Google today Tom's? This is getting bad as the non stop iPad articles a while back.

the muslim brotherhood is the major conservative party throughout islamic countries, there are fringe elements just like there are in the republican party here in the states, i dont see why we should get bent out of shape because of it.

So how does this fit in with Google's plan to take over the world....?

perhaps the exec is going to stage a coup and claim Egypt in the name of Google. It will be Google's first colony. Hahahahahah

i joke but hopefully he is safe

@davewolfgang : I am an Egyptian and I currently live in Egypt. The protests started peacefully, but some criminals were able to join the protesters undetected and it was them who started the riot. What most of the Egyptians wanted was to change some of our ministers and re-elect our parliament members. We don't want President Mubarak to leave. But the organizations you mentioned wanted him out of the way.Even if he leaves, Egyptians won't accept any of these organizations. One last thing, Muslim Brothers is just a name of the organization and that doesn't mean they represent proper Islamic beliefs as one of our core Islamic rights is to feel safe in our homeland.

Egyptians are now backed by extremists and if at all an government forms there with few of extremists in there it will change the face of Egypt and make it another Afghanistan. This whole middle-east is going to become major issue for this world in years to come.

[citation][nom]caeden[/nom]Indeed Dave,Yes, the gov't has problems, but these are not your average protesters who just want the best for the people. These are backed by terrorist organizations which will be just as bad if they get in power. It is simply a power struggle, it is not some battle for an ideal or better Egypt, which is something we would all love to see.[/citation]
if it happens in Iran, protesters are fighting for their rights and for democracy , happens in Egypt, terrorists are involved......

Saddam Hussein was a terrorist for America and they said he had WMDs and all the bullsh** !!! they destroyed Iraq and killed 1000s of innocent people...now they are not talking any word about their puppet Mubarack !!!
