Question got new rams but one have problems

hi guys newbie here, got 2 rams i have problems with one of them,

the first it boots correctly ok

te seccond one gets hot fast and does not boot, tried swapping slots and tried one by one to discard problems and looks like its just one ram. what can i do?

is my seccond ram Dead on arrival?

Replace, that's only thing you can do.

In your photo you're holding ram in wrong orientation. Notch on ram module has to align with ram slot.
Also you have cable disconnected (bottom of the image with red/white/yellow/black wires.
