Got thermal paste on side of CPU :(

I accidently got some thermal paste on the side of my CPU while cleaning it off and some of it is now on the green part of the CPU. Is this a problem? If so how do I clean it off without damaging the CPU?

It should not be an issue. However when that happened to me I cleaned it with a toothpick very carefully.

that's not a problem personally I use rubbing alcohol to get thermal paste off just dab some on a q-tip and you should be ok.

Thanks for letting know know it's not a big deal, I was starting to get worried lol. I thought about cleaning with a toothpick but I didn't want to do anything I thought might've damage it.

As long as you dont poke too hard you are good to go.
