What's your budget for a monitor; $200-$400, $400-$1000? What resolution do you want to game at; 1680x1050, 1920x1200, 2560x1600? What level of detail do you want to see in your games; low, high, ultra high? Do you prefer LCD or LED?
You need to consider if the refresh rate (in MHz, the higher the better) response time (in milliseconds, the lower the better), and resolution (your preference) meets your budget and gaming needs.
