Hey there, Sorry i dont speak english normaly. so i have a 1 year old gaming pc, and im having serious problems with my gpu (Asus geforce 980 Strix). So i was playing and then both screen turned black. i restarted only to find a black screen again. So when it finally came on it was on low resolution on my main screen. I uninstalled the driver and reinstalled it. It worked. Next day the same thing happened and did the same thing. But it didnt work. And then i finally got it to work just by doing something random in the BIOS. I found out the gpu had overheated. and now it happens 5 times a week. i have underclocked it with afterburner and monitors the heat at all times. I could use some help. The GPU still works. Sometimes and im almost depressed about it. Thanks for reading

Your display stays blank on boot-up, correct?

Edit: does the screen at least turn on displaying the brand name or startup logo then go blank? Or a chance where u can access the BIOS?

Well without the gpu i can do anything. with the gpu nothing happen at all

When i got the computer the graphic card had some wires in it. And it worked. I have the same pins in all the time. I have tried both HDMI and DP. It just wont work.

Try going into the BIOS and disable the integrated graphics on the CPU. to allow the GPU to work. Does the GPU have any leds that turn on when the GPU is powered? If so do they turn on?

Yes. The Leds turn on and ill try to deactivate the cpu graphics

I do not have a option for it, i am using MSI Click bios 5

is your current BIOS currently up to date? Go into the bios and check the version above. Let me know the version and i can provide you a link directly to the manufactures website

I managed to do it in device manager. The GPU now posts BIOS and then a black screen.
