gpu case support

I have an r9 390 and a nzxt phantom full tower case. When i was installing the gpu every thing was good. im new so i dont know how to describe this, but the place on the case that the end of the video card is supposed to attach to for support ( it has screw holes that go through the gpu and case to help hold the weight and a opening for the hdmi and dvi outputs) Anyways, in needs two screws for support, one of them went it fine, but one screw hole is striped (wont dig in deeper, and I cant take the screw out either), I was able to put a srew in but cant tighten it anymore. Im afraid with out this extra support i should not lift up my case yet. Any recommendations? ill work on getting photos, i dont have my camera with me.

Should i just roll the dice with one srew, or try to fix the other one?

It sounds like you got a little rough with your screwdriver. Over torqued the screw, maybe? Didn't have it started correctly, possibly? Either way, it is fine with one screw only, to set the case back up in the upright position. One alone will hold it. And if the 2nd one is still in, it will also still be supporting the card even tho it is stripped.

One way to remove the stripped screw, might be to reach under the bracket and gently push up on the bottom of the screw while trying to back it out with a screwdriver. Might have to use something like a pencil eraser to do the pushing. Once out, you can determine if the screw or the hole is stripped... or both. If both, you can always tap out the hole to the next size and get the proper screw to fit.

I dont think i screwed it to tight cause before any real pressure was applied the problem started. The thing is the part of the gpu that the screw goes into is in a "U" shape, id feel more comfortable if it ere in an "O" shape, cause when i put the case upright, if the screw is not pressuring the case and the end of the gpu together, it could slip out, the only saftey is the one normal screw. I was thinking of drilling a slightly bigger hole if the hole was stripped, or i could try and find a nut/fastner to secure it, jeez, this stuff give me heart attacks lol

i like this case, but i had similar problem with the drive cage, a screw came striped lol

Sure, drill out the hole if you want. Get the board, card and other components out of the case first, tho. Don't want tiny metallic dust flying around in the case getting places it shouldn't.
Or just get the next bigger screw size and tap. Then tap it out for the new screw. Your bolt and nut will work too, but be harder to change out when needing to remove/replace the card.
I can't really see much in your pictures, so I'm going by imagination of what it looks like more than anything else.
