Hello I was having issues earlier and thought my computer was screwed since it would turn on and I would get no display. but I did some troubleshooting and unplugged the PCIe cables from my GPU and plugged a DVI cable in and voila. Now the only problem I am having is why do I get no display when my GPU and HDMI cable is plugged in? The fan spins and everything and it does not feel hot at all. I plugged it in when my computer display was on from the dvi and tried going into the nvidia control panel but it did not notice my GPU. So I am wondering if I need to get a new GPU or PCIe cables. I left my cables when I moved.

Also. the threads going into my H80I stripped. and the holes are to big. So sad. Can't RMA since I don't have the box I guess. Stuck using the EVO 212. Just throwing that out there. If specs are needed let me know. Also I posted this already but nobody answered within the hour so maybe it died. I don't know how long it usually takes for people to reply.

Solution
When you change cables, you generally have to go to the OSD (on screen display) on the monitor (menu button) and change the input .... in your case from DVI to HDMI

I did that and it searches from hdmi to dvi and can't find a working input. This is when the gpu and hdmi cable is plugged in.
