So i need help picking a GPU that will last me a while (few years) , i just built a new system and was thinking of one gpu (not saying on purpose to see what people suggest).

i intend to play in 1440p and use 2 monitors , Maybe a little work outside of gaming , Prefer for it to last me next 5 years without having big issues

Can you please provide a list of all the components in your system. Using PCPartpicker you can then export it by copying the BB code and pasting it to the forum.

if you want some ray tracing performance and some long lasting life - go for 7900XT.

6950XT is perfect for today's games without rat tracing. but cant say the same 3 years down the line.

performance figures for your reference:

Also, i did not see your case.

the radiator will take about 50mm clearance. so you have 315mm GPU length clearance.

or you can go for an aircooler like this model: https://be.pcpartpicker.com/product/pHfnTW/deepcool-ag500-bk-argb-6788-cfm-cpu-cooler-ag500-bk-argb

or swap case to this one and top mount your AIO cooler: https://be.pcpartpicker.com/product/44zhP6/deepcool-cc560-atx-mid-tower-case-r-cc560-whgaa4-g-1

between that model and XFX 6950 , which one is 'better'?
Depends on how much you want to spend. The 6950XT is 12% slower than the 7900XT and 5% slower than the 4070Ti but also 200 Euro cheaper. I personally wouldn't look at the 4070Ti due to it only having 12GB VRAM. With 1440p if you are dialing up the textures in a few years 12GB VRAM could be an issue. Ideally an 800 Euro card should have minimum 16GB VRAM IMO.

I meant was between 6950 xt models , I am playing on 1440p , I don't wanna upgrade for like 5+ years atleast so having spend 200 extra would be worth it or 6950 would work just fine?

Also bit off topic , but you think Air cooler for CPU would be better in long term over what i have picked?

The extra power for the 7900XT will extend the gaming lifespan by a while, especially if you use things like FSR2, over the 6950XT. Overall it will provide higher framerates for longer than the 6950XT as well.

The CPU cooler you choose is a good one. I would just stick with that.

if you are bothered with the ray tracing performance, go with the 6950XT.

My suggestion is still the 7900XT. 20gb vram will be useful 5 years down the line.
which model would you say for 7900xt? i found Tuf for 830 euro , Asrock for 819 and taichi for 860 and nitro for 900 ,
Also XFX 6950 for 660 euro , Still not sure

maybe a month? if you want it soon-ish, you have to choose between the 6950XT and the 7900XT.
I was looking the reviews and it seem not so great so far , 7900 xt seem future proof for like 5+ years so thinking that , its pretty expensive tho and i only mainly play WoW and some other games , still not decided on models , i read Tuf gaming one has some heat issues? our all the one i mentioned tuf is the best?

Also found a 4070ti for 880 euro , thats like 50 euro more than 7900xt , worth it or?

The 4070Ti is not worth it IMO. You are paying the same money as the 7900XT for less performance today (plus IMO it seems Radeon cards age better with newer games unless you get the halo nVidia cards) and 8GB less VRAM. The 6950XT is only 5% slower than the 4070Ti but has 16GB VRAM vs 12GB VRAM and is 200 Euro cheaper.

Ok makes sense , I had opportunity to get asrock phantom 6950xt for 649 euro but hesitated and now its out of stock , XFX is the other option.

7900xt tuf gaming seem huge, 353mm? would it even fit my case?

5 Years?
A 6700XT is the best buy right now for about $320 HOWEVER it won't hold you down at 1440p for the next 5 years.

You'll have to go top dog for that kind of future proofing @ 1440p without needing to worrying about upgrading. I'm talking 7900XT, 4080, 7900XTX, or 4090.

The 7900XT at $725 would be the best buy. But it's certainly borderline for lasting 5 years. If RT is important to you, then 4080 ~$1000-$1100 is your choice without a doubt.
