Gpu get warm and fans spin, no display

Hey guys im upgrading my computer and i got a 7950 the other day, i put it in fans come on and card gets warm but no display..... I have a 600 watt evga 80 bronze psu and a 8 core 8300. My guess it card is DOA but not sure why fans would turn on and card would get warm. any advice?

If the fan is turning on and the card is warming up then it isn't DOA. Probably something regarding your monitor, try plugging your monitor into your motherboard instead of GPU and see if you get a display.

i put my old card back ( 6850 ) and it works fine though?

You used DOA in the wrong context, DOA is no response at all, no fans turning on, nothing.

any suggestion?? could out of date bios cause this?

updated bios still nothing, put my speaker and get same post beep that i get with the old card but i notice the CPU never starts saying the fan never kicks up for a few seconds on cpu like it does with other card..... lights on keyboard our mouse never come one..... puzzled to say the least
