[SOLVED] GPU install with only driver .. no add'l software?

I am unable to install the Adrenaline software to my AMD Radeon R9 270A, but it does have a driver. How necessary is the Adrenaline software package for a rig used only for image editing? I will not be gaming on this setup.

AMD Adrenalin is monitoring tool and not needed at all for normal PC operation, be it gaming, image edit, web surfing or 3D rendering.

It's essentially a bloatware, offering no additional features, besides fancy GUI.
