GPU is not being detected.

I built my first PC today and everything is perfect except for my graphics card. I have a 6950 OC'ed edition by Sapphire and I installed the correct drivers, went into the BIOS ad used PCIE as the first graphics booter, the light is on and then fans are as loud as %*@! however I can plug my VGA to DVI in but no signal is received from my monitor. Any help is appreciated, very very frustrated.

I'm pretty sure this card has a digital only dvi and a dvi for analog as well. Basically, if you are using a DVI to VGA adapter, plug it into the other dvi output.
