Hello!
I got a new 100 HZ monitor and wanted to test out the smoothness with some games and I tried playing Pacific Drive. Naturally, because of the increased framerate, I expected the temps to go higher than normal but these were the highest I've seen compared to GPUs I had in the past.
My GPU temps were between 70-70°C and the junction was fluctuating around 90 and sometimes even going to 100°C. I tried ramping up the fans up to 40% and it stayed pretty much stable at these tempratures, never reaching 100°C again. Although I got pretty scared about this and just closed everything. My case has 2 fans in the front and one fan at the top blowing in fresh air and 2 exhaust fans in the back, so I don't think airflow is the issue here.
I tried googling about this and I'm seeing different answers. Some people say this is normal and some say this is just too much, so I'm making this post to get a definitive answer and some peace of mind.
Should I be worried about this? Is it normal? I'm guessing undervolting can actually help but I lose some performance with that and I don't know if it's worth doing it.
Thank you so much for the help!
