Hi all, I'm having a serious problem with my laptop. I have a quad core Intel i7 second generation and a dedicated graphic card nVidia GT 540M 2 GB DDR3. I used to go mad every time my game lagged, because tha game we are talking here is "skill special force 2" an online FPS which requires an nVidia 8800 for a good gaming fluency. I downloaded GPU z to monitor temperature and GPU load while playing, and I noticed temperature reached too hot values like 84/85 degrees. So I thought it could be a dust problem in my fan but after having cleaned and oiled it, I still have the problem.. This game is very tiny for my GPU, and I can say it because 2 years ago I used to play assassins creed fluently with the same hardware! I could even post u a screen where u could see that the GPU load is quite constant for the most of the time (about 80%) and then there is like a big drop down to 5% or less, and I have my lag right in this moment! Don't think it's a fan problem anymore since I cleaned it, it's not a drivers problem because they are updated, don't thinkt that's a compatibility problem with my graphic card (I would be very unlucky since the game supports all the nVidia and AMD cards from very old models till the newest ones)... What could it be? Thank u so much, hope I've been clear in explaining my problem.
