I've had a computer for a couple of years now and my computer has now started crashing when playing just simple games like rimworld etc. As a Beginner in computers, I downloaded core temp and MSI afterburner, I found out that my cores are holding quite steady at 35*C idle but my GPU is currently sitting at 80 when idle! I've got 2 case fans (only got 2 spots for them kind of a bad chasi) I have a GTX 760 as my graphics card and a I7-4770 core I don't really know what else to do? should i get a new graphics card or just invest in a new computer? please post your suggestions anything is appreciated.

You can:

1. Disassemble the GPU, clean it on the inside and replace the TIM as well as the thermal pads. Look for guides in you tube. This will rectify your issue.

2. Buy a new GPU.

3. Pay a technician to do (1) for you.

I am going to the store tomorrow morning to pick up some thermal paste and replace the previous one on my gpu, i will also do a full dust cleanse tomorrow and will update after ^^ Thanks for your suggestions and help.
