Hoping to receive some help as I have tried everything I could think of to resolve my problem I currently have. So I recently bought 2 GTX 1080's and the problem I am having is when I install them I receive no signal from the GPU's to the monitors. I'm using DVI cables with one being HDMI to DVI adapter. Now I have made sure the cards are seated properly, the power cables are connected securely and still nothing. I have tried to download the drivers separately but can't install them as it tells me I don't have the correct grapich's card installed. I have uninstalled the old drivers and then gone into the device manager and disabled the 660's from the Display Adapters. If I hook my old cards up the monitors read them no problem. Not sure if it'll make a difference but it has a 6 and 8 PCI express slots and I'm currently using 6 pin so not sure if I got 8 pins if that would make a difference. I've looked on the forms for similar issues I'm having and tried things other people have recommended but still the luck 🙁

PC specs
CPU: AMD FX 8350 eight core processor
MB: ASUS Sabertooth 990FX R2.0
GPU: GTX 660's (old) replacing with 1080's
Power Supply: RX-850AE (850 watts)
Win 7 64 bit (if it matters)

did you try only having 1 GTX 1080 installed and boot?

did you try running the 1080 SLI on a different machine?

cases like these usually have a problem with the PSU so if you got another one to borrow from a different PC, try it in your main build.

hope i helped

Huh? Isn't this your PSU?

It has four 6+2pin plugs. Your 1080 should be using a 6 pin and an 8pin. You shouldn't need to use any adapter or anything. Unless I've linked the wrong PSU. FYI, your "850W" PSU is rather weak on the 12V rail having only 732W of power. At full gaming load you should be drawing over 805 of your unit's 12V rail. This is bad. Whatever you do I wouldn't OC that PC at all. And you might want to get a better PSU.

I feel so silly now. I connected the 8 pin and well and what do you know. My screens light up, guess I misread the manual when I was connecting the power
