I just got my Asus GTX1080-A8G-Gaming GPU last night. My problem is that I plug it into the motherboard. The lights turn on, The LED's are white. not red which means no problem with the PSU. and the card itself turns on, But for some reason my computer is not detecting it. Not even when im in Bios. Ive tried Erasing everything from my old cards using DDU and uninstalled all the old drivers. Ive switched PCI-E lanes and updated my bios with still no results. Nothing displays on my monitors. Only if i use the integrated graphics that comes with the motherboard. And when i install my 970 or my Rx-480 back in. the monitors display an image. Ive used both drivers from nvidia and the drivers that come directly from the asus website. The card cannot be detected. My bios version is at 0701.
Any help?

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs inclusive of your OS. Please list them like so:

With your new GPU installed have you tried removing the CMOS battery and replacing it after 15 minutes and then tried powering up the system? Once you post your specs, we can move forward with more suggestions if there are any. Please list the BIOS revision number as well as the drivers you've used thus far.
