Question GPU not displaying HDMI

Ok guys so so I recently built a gaming computer but I got a temporary graphics card GT 730 but then I have now upgraded to a gigabyte 1050ti my only issue is when I power on the system there is no display through HDMI I am trying to connect it to my TV cos that is what I have available at the minute it works on my friends PC with DP so basically I installed the graphics card onto my motherboard but I am not getting a signal through HDMI

Any help would be appreciated my motherboard is msi b450m gaming Plus

Can your provide FULL system specs ? Is this a brand NEW GPU ? Do you have the latest BIOS version installed on this PC ? Can you boot your PC via the motherboard's onboard/integrated graphics ?

So there is NO display at all on the Monitor's screen, it is totally blank ? You can't even see the BIOS POST screen as well ?

Hi I am using ryzen 2600 with the motherboard the GPU is brand new my friend tried it in his computer with DisplayPort but I am trying with HDMI on my TV as I do not have a monitor I cannot get to the vios on my TV as I do not have a monitor I cannot get to the bios with that GPU as there is no signal when I put my old GPU back in it works fine I am trying DisplayPort to HDMI tomorrow

AMD Ryzen 5 2600 3.4 GHz 6-Core Processor
MSI B450M GAMING PLUS Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory
Kingston A400 120 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
SeaSonic EVO Edition 620 W 80+ Bronze Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
GTX 1050ti OC 4GB from gigabyte

This is a upgrade from a GT 730 the GT 730 worked fine thank you for your reply

Two possible reasons you aren't getting anything on screen with HDMI:

1) You've plugged the display device in to the motherboard's HDMI port instead of the HDMI port on the graphics card.

2) If display device is a television, you may have to select the appropriate external input from the TV input menu.

Another possibility is that you've plugged the GPU into a different PCIe slot from what your BIOS has as a default for external graphics.

Are you using a different PCIe slot to the dud GPU you'd used previously? If not, the only obvious causes are as Phillip's described.
