Hello! I resently set up my new gaming rig:

Corsair crystal 570x case
Asus rog strix b450-f gaming mb
Ryzen 7 2700x proc
HyperX 16gb RAM
And 1 ssd and 2 hdds
Geforce gtx 1070 (used)

So heres the problem:
When i turn on the computer, every fan is spinning beatifully. But after a second or two, the GPU fans stops spinning. Monitor says no signal. On the motherboard no error LED lights is lightning, well atleast after the motherboard is finish with searching though each component. If i take the GPU out, then the VGA error light stays on. I have no computer that i am 100% works that i can test the GPU with. I dont have a GPU i know that work that i can test with either. So it is really hard for me to troubleshoot this. The GPU is bought used from a guy and i have never been able to test it before now.

Do you guys think the GPU is faulty, or the motherboard or something else?

Would REALLY apprecciate ANY help!

Solution
The 2700 doesn't have on board graphics so no point plugging the monitor into the motherboard.
To the OP make sure your monitor is plugged into your GPU and that the power cable from your PSU (6 or 8 pin) is fitted to your GPU. You can also try the GPU in the 2nd pcie slot to see if that works.
I assume you have connected to that card whatever power supply connection it requires from the PSU. Right?

Let's try a simple test to verify that other parts of your system work. Shut down, disconnect from power, and remove the graphics card. Transfer the video cable plugged into your monitor and plug it into the video output port on the back plate of your mobo, instead of into the graphics card. Reconnect power, turn on and watch your monitor. This should force your mobo to use the on-board graphics system, and you should be able to see the POST process proceed on your monitor. If you do, you know your monitor and its signal cable are working properly, and that would surely point to the graphics card as the point of failure.
