Hello,
build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/29JYBL
I will mention i re-used my windows 10 drive shown in the list because I'm leaning towards this is a windows 10 / driver problem.
i recently built my second build and ran into an interesting issue. My system want to use the integrated graphics on first boot after being off for awhile. and will switch over to the GPU after some amount of time or If I go to bios and change a setting. (I have not been able to find a consistent way to get windows / motherboard to detect the GPU these are just my observations). the fans are always spinning and the lights are on. Additionally, the same thing does not happen if I hard-reset.
I have tried the following:
- re-seat GPU
- re-attach power connections to PSU and GPU
- DDU and re-install newest AMD drivers via Adrenalin
- Tried my old GPU (same problem AMD 5700xt)
- updated motherboard BIOS to different versions (2.8 & 2.1)
- disabled fast boot in bios and windows
- updated windows 10
I am officially out of ideas other than re-install windows but I would like to avoid that if possible.
Thanks in advance!
